Editing Styles

In film, different editing styles are used to portray differenent emotions to the audience.

The two main types of film editing are fast paced and slow paced. These will be described below.

Slow Paced
- more than 4-5 seconds of a shot
- can portray sad emotions
- used to build tension

Fast Paced
- about 4-5 seconds of shot
- shows action in the scene
- can reduce tension
